LSU rolled to a 45-14 win over Louisiana Tech on Saturday night behind a defense that suffocated the Bulldogs early, holding them to exactly zero yards of total offense in the first half. Princewill Umanmielen was a menace off the edge with three sacks, TJ Dottery led the way with nine tackles and forced a fumble, and DJ Pickett picked off his first pass of the season. Sam Leavitt set a career high with 329 passing yards and added three rushing touchdowns.

Next up: The Tigers, who check in at No. 7 in the AP Poll, head to Oxford next Saturday for a 6:30 p.m. CT kick against Ole Miss.

🔼 Grand Slam Number Two. A champion again! LSU alum Neal Skupski added a US Open men's doubles title to his 2026 haul, teaming with Louisiana native Christian Harrison for a straight-sets win over the No. 6 seed. The pair took the opener 6-4 and closed out a tight second set in a tiebreak, capping a flawless run of 12 straight sets across six matches. Skupski becomes the first LSU alum to win multiple Grand Slams in a single year after the duo also claimed the Australian Open in January. The title pushed Skupski to No. 3 in the ATP rankings.

🔼 1,500 And Climbing. Jurnee Robinson hit a milestone yesterday afternoon in Hammond, becoming just the seventh player in LSU history to reach 1,500 career kills as the Tigers swept Southeastern Louisiana. Robinson led all players with 18 kills on a .417 clip, passing Marina Skender to move into second all-time in the rally-scoring era and climbing to fifth on the program's all-time list. The defense set the tone too, holding the Lions to an opponent season-low .088 hitting percentage behind 11 blocks. Jessica Jones matched a season high with six of them. LSU heads to Coral Gables next for the Canes Classic on Sept. 17-18.

🔼 Everything Matters. Jordan Seaton's path to Baton Rouge started with a middle school coach who kept threatening to put a better teammate in front of him on hill sprints. He used it as fuel. The 6-foot-5 tackle went on to IMG Academy, became the No. 1 offensive tackle prospect in the 2024 class, then started all 13 games as a true freshman at Colorado, a program record, before entering the portal as ESPN's No. 4 overall player available. Since arriving at LSU last March, he's dropped from roughly 330 pounds to 307 with a six percent cut in body fat, all salmon and broccoli and grilled chicken.
