🔼 Freshman Anchor. LSU volleyball’s Kiley Brooks racked up 53 digs across three matches last week to earn SEC Freshman of the Week, the first career conference honor for the LSU libero. Brooks averaged 4.82 digs per set while adding a team-high three service aces, including a season-high 21 digs against NC State. She followed with 17 against Charlotte and 15 against Southeastern Louisiana as the Tigers rolled to consecutive sweeps. Brooks ranks sixth in the SEC with 4.11 digs per set on the season.

🔼 Coast Classic Return. LSU baseball heads to Biloxi for the third straight year, taking on Samford in a pair of fall exhibition games at Keesler Federal Park as part of the Hancock Whitney Coast Classic. First pitch is set for 3 p.m. CT on Saturday, Oct. 31, with the second game at 1 p.m. CT on Sunday, Nov. 1. Tickets for both games are available now through Ticketmaster.

🔼 Trending Up. LSU men's golf climbed the leaderboard at the Inverness Intercollegiate, improving each day at the par-71 Inverness Club. The Tigers went from 21-over in the opening round to six-over and then three-over across the final two. Freshman John Doyle turned in the best round of the week for LSU, carding a 1-under 70 on Tuesday with three birdies on the back nine. Senior Jay Mendell led the Tigers overall, closing with a 73. LSU heads to Illinois next for the OFCC/Fighting Illini Invitational, running Friday through Sunday.

🔼 Promotion In Baton Rouge. LSU baseball has elevated Justin Bridgman to assistant coach, where he'll work as the Tigers' infield coach and assistant recruiting coordinator. Bridgman joined the staff in September 2025 as Director of Player Development/Defense after three seasons at Tulane, where his hitters led the American Conference in homers, triples, and walks in 2024 and four were selected in the MLB Draft.
