🔼 A Mountainous Opportunity. The LSU women’s golf team takes its game to Colorado today for its first appearance in the Golfweek Red Sky Classic in Wolcott, Colorado, at the Fazio Course at the Red Sky Golf Club.

The Tigers, ranked No. 7 in the preseason polls, finished in sixth place in the opening Cougar Classic earlier in the month, highlighted by a double-digit under par round in the second round of the 54-hole event.

Sophomore Josefin Widal finished in a tie for 10th, earning her fourth career top 10 finish.

🔼 Successful West Coast Swing. LSU (7-4) capped its weekend at the Galen Center with a hard-fought 3-2 (25-27, 25-21, 25-19, 19-25, 15-13) victory over Cal (3-6) on Saturday afternoon. The Tigers leaned on a dominant defensive performance at the net, finishing with a season-high 16.0 blocks, marking their fourth double-digit block effort of the year and second of the weekend.

The Tigers limited Cal to a .162 hitting percentage on 59 kills, while outpacing the Golden Bears in blocking (16.0-9.0). LSU finished the day hitting .169 with 56 kills, four aces, and 62 digs.

🔼 Pre-Purple Props. Four LSU players are listed among the Top 50 Transfer Hitters for the 2026 season by D1Baseball.com.

The list includes LSU senior infielder Brayden Simpson (No. 9), junior infielder Trent Caraway (No. 13), senior infielder Seth Dardar (No. 23) and senior first baseman Zach Yorke (No. 35).

🔼 The Whole Nine Yards. Golfweek Magazine released its second edition of the 2025-26 men’s Bushnell/Golfweek DI Coaches Poll on Friday afternoon, seeing the LSU Tigers move to No. 9. The preseason edition of the coaches’ poll had the Tigers listed at No. 10 in the nation.

The men’s team is fresh off a 4-1 match-play win at the prestigious Jackson T. Stephens Cup this week. LSU also finished first in stroke play during the tournament with three Tigers in the top 10. Sophomore Árni Sveinsson finished second (-5, 72-64-69).

🔼 They Gave ‘Er a Geaux. The LSU Soccer team (5-5-1, 0-2-1 SEC) fell to No. 5 Tennessee (8-1-1, 2-1-0 SEC) by a final score of 2-1 on Sunday afternoon in Regal Soccer Stadium.

The Tigers outshot the Vols in the second half 11-7 compared to 2-8 in the first half. Sariyah Bailey and Ida Hermannsdottir both finished the match with two shots on goal each, while Scheving finished the day with two saves, moving her total to 13 on the year. Despite the Tigers' strong efforts in the final minutes to equalize, they ultimately came up short.
