🔼 LSU Block Party. The LSU volleyball team earned its first Southeastern Conference victory of the season with a 3-1 (12-25, 25-17, 25-21, 25-23) win over Arkansas on Sunday afternoon at Barnhill Arena.
LSU (8-5, 1-1 SEC) captured its first victory in Barnhill Arena since 2018, in large part due to a physical presence at the net, where it finished with a season-high 17 blocks to hand Arkansas (5-8, 1-1 SEC) its first league loss. The 17-block performance marked the team’s fifth match this season with double-digit blocks and its third in the last five outings.

🔼 Ladies Were Tops in Tally. The LSU men’s and women’s cross-country teams both competed on Friday at the FSU XC Invitational, hosted in Tallahassee at the Apalachee Regional Park.
The women took the team win with a point total of 30, placing four Tigers in the top 10 en route to victory. Freshman Edna Chepkemoi got the individual win in her second cross-country meet with the Tigers, clocking 19:56.8 in the 5k. Chepkemoi now has two wins in two meets competed in.

🔼 Prime “Poll” Position. The LSU women’s golf team is ranked No. 11 in the second coaches’ poll of the fall 2025 season.
The Tigers, coming off a good third at the Golfweek Red Sky Classic earlier in the week, will be back in action on Oct. 6 at the famed Medinah Country Club for the Illini Women’s Invitational at Medinah.
There will be one more poll before the fall season concludes on Oct. 24.

🔼 A Miss in the Sip. The Ole Miss defense limited LSU’s offense to just 254 total yards, which was ultimately the difference in the game, as the Rebels defeated the No. 3 Tigers, 24-19, on Saturday afternoon at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.
With the loss, LSU falls to 4-1 overall and 1-1 in the SEC. The Tigers have a bye week next week and will return to action on Oct. 11 against South Carolina inside Tiger Stadium. Game time is TBD.
