The five eligible Tigers are 3B Alex Bregman of the Boston Red Sox, RHP Aaron Nola of the Philadelphia Phillies, RHP Kevin Gausman of the Toronto Blue Jays, RHP Alex Lange of the Detroit Tigers, and RHP Paul Gervase of the Los Angeles Dodgers.

While the Phillies and Blue Jays earned first-round byes, the Tigers, Red Sox, and Dodgers all open their series today. More details on times here.

In the Tigers’ 3-1 Victory over Arkansas on Sunday, the freshman libero led the back row with a season-high 14 digs. Cassidy is now up to 71 digs on the season.

🔼 Under The Lights. Another night game is on tap for the Tigers after they come back from this week’s bye. LSU will welcome South Carolina to Tiger Stadium on October 11 for an evening kick-off; the game will get underway at either 6 p.m. CT on ESPN, 6:30 p.m. CT on ABC, or 6:45 p.m. CT on SEC Network. The exact start time will be released after October 4’s slate.

Meanwhile, the Tigers (4-1) checked in at No. 13 overall in the AP Poll and No. 13 in the Coaches Poll through the first five weeks of the season.

🔼 Slam Dunk. We’re getting closer to a brand-new season of LSU women’s hoops, but first, we had to know: if our Lady Tigers could dunk on a teammate, who would it be?

🔼 Pack The Pitch. It’s a big week on tap for LSU soccer! The Tigers, fresh off a 3-1 road win over Auburn, will host Missouri on Thursday, October 2 at 5:00 p.m. CT before traveling to Georgia for a Sunday evening battle against the Bulldogs. We can’t wait to see you there on Thursday night!

🔼 Conference Home Opener. It’s time for SEC volleyball in Baton Rouge! LSU will open its home conference slate with two enormous match-ups this week, first welcoming Tennessee on Friday night at 7:00 p.m. CT, then hosting Florida on Sunday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. CT. Both matches will stream live on SEC Network+.

🔼. Tee Off. Current Tiger Francesca Fiorellini and LSU grad Aine Donegan are Singapore-bound! The two will compete at the World Amateur Team Championships, playing for the Espirito Santo Trophy starting tomorrow morning. Fiorellini will suit up for Italy, while Donegan will represent Ireland.

Back To Back. The LSU men’s golf team took home the trophy at the Bryan Bros Collegiate yesterday, securing back-to-back tournament championships!

And as if that weren’t enough, Noah McWilliams came in clutch on the green, finishing Round 2 by tying his collegiate-best single round to par of seven under.
