Bayou Brew 9/9: BK to LSU Fans: Let's Geaux!
During his most recent presser, LSU Head Football Coach Brian Kelly urged fans to show up and show out this weekend against Florida.
Good morning, LSU Fam. BK has laid down the gauntlet.
"We're in Tiger Stadium. We need to be Death Valley,” LSU Head Football Coach Brian Kelly said in Monday’s presser. “We need to live up to our resume as the most difficult place to play in the country because it's SEC time. You had your warmup. Now let's go get it and make Tiger Stadium what it is. We need you."
ESPN’s Heather Dinich puts LSU Football at No. 3 in projecting the College Football Playoff top 12 after Week 2, saying, “LSU's win at Clemson is still separating the Tigers from other contenders.”

🏐 Volleyball Takes On Notre Dame TONIGHT
🐯 And much more!

Your YETI Game Changer Of the Week is LSU Volleyball’s Nia Washington! The outside hitter powered the offense during the 3-0 sweep of Houston at the Flo Hyman Classic with a team-best 17 kills, while also contributing six digs and two blocks. In doing so, the Tigers handed Houston its first loss of the season.
🎥 LSU+: THE HURRY UP
The Hurry Up | West Weeks Postgame Interview
West Weeks led the LSU defense in tackles Saturday with eight, and the senior linebacker joins Gordy Rush immediately following the Tigers' 23-7 win over Louisiana Tech for another edition of The Hurry Up.

🔼 No Luck Needed to Take On the Irish. The LSU volleyball team travels to South Bend, Ind., to face Notre Dame in the Showdown at the Net SEC-ACC Challenge at 5:30 p.m. CT this evening at Purcell Pavilion. ACC Network Extra will stream the match.
LSU secured a weekend sweep at the Flo Hyman Classic in Houston, Texas, after sweeping Omaha, rallying for a five-set victory over San Diego State, and recording a second sweep of the weekend against Houston at the Fertitta Center.

🔼 It IS Rocket Science. The most common question asked in the average Kindergarten class is “What do you want to be when you grow up?”
The typical responses include occupations such as firefighters, movie stars, princesses, teachers and doctors. For LSU Volleyball’s standout middle blocker, Angelina Lee, it was always “astronaut.”
“I’ve always wanted to work for NASA,” Lee recalled. “I’ve always had a passion for space exploration and science, even before I started playing sports; it’s always been a dream of mine.”
Little did Lee know she would be met with the perfect opportunity to achieve that dream this summer. She had noticed a posting through LSU’s Tiger Life for a micro-internship with the NASA Launch Services Program at the Kennedy Space Center, and she knew she had to apply. It had always been her dream, and now it was becoming a reality.

🔼 No One-Trick Tigers. The LSU Cox Communications Academic Center for Student-Athletes (CCACSA) recognizes student-athletes for their scholastic and community achievements each month. Student-athletes are selected based on their commitment to academic excellence and their dedication to volunteerism and community service.

🔼 Tackling a Tough Time. For Bernard Gooden, football has always been more than a game. Growing up in Montgomery, Ala., he was surrounded by the sport from the time he could remember. His father played football, and the entire household carried a love for the game.
That foundation carried him into high school, though the road wasn’t easy. He didn’t receive his first college offer until his senior year, a late start that left him feeling nervous about his future and whether the game he had poured so much into would truly take him anywhere. He was also part of the COVID-era recruiting class.
For players like Gooden, who relied on exposure late in their high school careers, the timing couldn’t have been more challenging. It wasn’t just about proving he could play; it was about finding a way to get noticed in a recruiting world that had suddenly gone quiet.
Still, Gooden pressed forward…
