The Mental Game. SEC Now ran a special on our very own Cade Beloso during the SEC Baseball Tournament. The LSU first baseman opened up about mental struggles from last seasons injury, meeting with a sports psychologist, and his love for his team and the game. Check it out here on LSU Gold.

🔼 Callin’ Baton Rouge. The NCAA called Baton Rouge for a regional and the Tigers answered! LSU will be hosting the Baton Rouge Regional for the 27th time in program history. Teams coming to join the Tigers are Tulane, Sam Houston, and Oregon State. Tickets will go on sale Thursday at 9:00am CT.

LSU and Tulane are familiar with each other. Not only are they just about an hour and a half apart, but the Tigers beat the Green Wave back in April, 11-5. LSU and Sam Houston also have some history from earlier this season. The Tigers beat the Bearkats in Round Rock, 16-4.

Oregon State has met LSU seven times since 2012 with the Tigers having the 4-3 lead. The Beavers knocked the Tigers out of the 2018 Corvallis Regional, so revenge is set to come.

🔼 Hit The Tommy. There’s no doubt that Tommy White has had one of the hottest bats in baseball. He’s brought in 91 runs which is the third most out of anyone in the country. He also leads the team with 20 home runs and 22 doubles. Tommy Tanks will be a very important bat in the Baton Rouge Regional, as he has been all season.

🔼 The Story Of Alex Box. You all know that the baseball stadium is named after Alex Box, but do you know who he really was? Peter Burns of ESPN shared his story from birth until death on Twitter and you can read it all here. Alex Box was truly an American hero.

🔼  Sneak Peek. We’ll be getting a sneak peek of Hailey Van Lith’s game this week as she competes in the 3×3 FIBA World Cup. Team USA kicks off today at 6:00am CT against Canada and again at 9:00am CT against Hungary. You can watch all of the games here.
