🔼  Homecoming Queen. The Tigers took down Coppin State 80-48, but the experience meant much more. It was the first time that a defending women’s NCAA DI National Champion played at an HBCU. There was a sold out crowd at Coppin State, a school that Angel Reese’s aunt and cousin played at, for the first time. Angel led the Tigers in her hometown with 26 points, going 11-15 from the field. Last-Tear Poa had a career-high 8 assists with no turnovers. Aneesah Morrow recorded her seventh-straight double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds. She added three blocks and four steals. Flau’Jae Johnson had her third-straight game in double figures, scoring 18 points. The ladies will be back in the PMAC after the holidays.

🔼 Holly Jolly Gameday. There’s one more game before the Christmas holiday and it’s tonight at the PMAC! The men’s basketball team will host Lamar at 8 pm. Mike’s Kids Club members are admitted free with their official lanyard, those members will be courtside at halftime when Dan Borne’ does the halftime reading of “The Night Before Christmas.” The game will be live on the SEC Network and the LSU Sports Radio Network.

🔼 Callin’ Baton Rouge. All 27 of LSU’s football commits signed on National Signing Day yesterday. The class includes the No. 1 tight end in the country, Trey’Dez Green. Four high school cornerbacks signed, including one four-star and three three-stars. The Tigers ranked sixth in the SEC, according to 247Sports recruiting rankings, as we head into day two of the early signing period. There will be 14 early enrollees from the class.
