📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Full House. LSU softball continues to prove themselves when the stakes are high! They took down No. 3 Texas, 7-4, in a morning matchup at Tiger Park. The game was all LSU as the Tigers went up 5-0 in the first inning. Kelley Lynch cleared the loaded bases with a double to add on to a 2-0 lead. Ali Newland continued her hot streak and scored Ciara Briggs in the second to make the lead 6-0. Texas added four runs, but it wasn’t enough. Sydney Berzon was the star in the circle and threw a complete game. They’ll continue to deal this weekend when they host Ole Miss for the SEC home opener.

🔼 One Done. The baseball team won the first of two midweek games against North Dakota State, 6-1. Justin Loer earned his first LSU win on the mound after coming in in the fourth inning and firing 2.1 scoreless frames. Brady Neal went 3-for-3 at the plate with a double, two RBIs, and two runs scored. They’ll have a rematch with the Bison today at 4 pm on SEC Network+.

🔼 Hometown Throwdown. Freshman men’s golfer Jay Mendell tied for 7th-place at the Louisiana Classics on his home course in Lafayette. The Tigers placed third as a team at -9. Drew Doyle and Connor Gaunt tied for 11th at 2-under par.

🔼  Best In Class. The week ten SEC gymnastics awards belong to the Tigers! Haleigh Bryant was named SEC Gymnast of the Week for the sixth time this season. She finished the quad meet with a career-high 39.925 score in the all-around, a new school record. She scored back-to-back 10’s on vault and bars. Savannah Schoenherr was named SEC Co-Specialist of the Week, her first honor at LSU. She scored a 9.950 on vault and 9.925 on bars.
