🔼  Graduate Champions. The mission that Brian Kelly has put out for LSU football is to graduate champions, both current and former players. Four former national champion football players graduated on Friday — Trindon Holliday, Grant Delpit, JaCoby Stevens, and Jay Ward. Trindon was part of the 2007 national championship team while the others were 2019 players. Project Graduation played a role in their success, the project is a program that helps former student-athletes return to school and get their degree. Former pitcher Jesse Stallings also took part in the program and earned his degree this weekend.

🔼 Mr. Popular. The names Jayden Daniels and Harold Perkins have been pretty popular this summer, appearing on multiple preseason watch lists. They both landed on the Walter Camp Award watch list, given to the collegiate American football player of the year. QB1 is also on the Davey O’Brien watch list and the Maxwell Award watch list. Harold Perkins was named to the Butkus Award watch list last week.

🔼 Fought Till The End. LSU women’s golfer Latanna Stone made it all the way to the final of the U.S. Women’s Amateur over the weekend with some gutsy play. She came in second-place on Sunday after going through a gauntlet of a bracket and pushing through a leg injury. See what Latanna had to say about the tournament.

🔼 Business Trip. The LSU soccer team closed out the preseason with a bang. The Tigers got the 2-1 win at Air Force on Saturday with goals from Mollie Baker and Jordan Johnson. Fifth-year senior Maya Gordon earned her diploma and got to celebrate with the team before the match. Alumna Chiara Ritchie-Williams also earned her degree this weekend.

The Tigers will be home to kick off the regular season on Thursday at 6:00pm when South Florida comes to town.

Trindon Holliday was a two-sport athlete at LSU.
