🐯 And much, much more!
Tigers Win. There’s no doubt that Mondo Duplantis is the best at what he does — pole vaulting. He continues to get Diamond League wins and remains undefeated. He’s a World Record Holder, Olympic Champion, and World Champion. We were lucky enough to have him in the studio in April, and you don’t want to miss it!

🔼 Talkin’ Season. SEC Media Days is where all the media magic happens for SEC players and coaches. Coach Brian Kelly sat down with Josh Pate to discuss his fit at LSU and quieting the doubters after winning the SEC West. He talks about the speed his team is at, consistency, and bringing it every day.
🔼 Put On For Her City. The Greater New Orleans Amateur Athlete of the Year Award is here and belongs to our track & field star and New Orleans native, Alia Armstrong! The award goes to the top amateur athletes from the New Orleans area. She earned the award last year and is now the sixth female to win multiple times.
🔼 Fair Play. The LSU golf teams dominated the Louisiana Sports Writers Association awards, sweeping both Player of the Year honors. Ingrid Lindblad and Drew Doyle were named Players of the Year for their respective teams. Aine Donegan received the state’s Newcomer of the Year award and Latanna Stone was named to the All-Louisiana women’s team. Three of the men’s players received men’s first team honors — Drew Doyle, Garrett Barber, and Luke Haskew.
🏌️♂️ Connor Gaunt qualified for the 2023 U.S. Amateur after finishing tied for first at the Desoto Golf Club in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas. He scored 9-under 135 after 36 holes.
🔼 Golden Girl. LSU’s very own Bailey Herfurth received the 2023 Golden Glove award for her season with Tampa Bay United in the USL W League. The league is a pre-professional soccer league with the most elite collegiate and youth athletes. Bailey allowed one goal in 936 minutes of play during the regular season, and her team was the only one to allow just one goal. We can’t wait to see what she will do in her sophomore season in just 20 days!
Since 2007, the LSU Tigers have had 5 players in this position selected in the top 6 picks of the NFL Draft.
Do you know which position that is?
