Bayou Brew 6/6: Feeling super
Today, we're celebrating our 16th trip to the Super Regionals
Good morning. We’re feeling super because the Tigers are hosting a Super Regional! Read all about the Baton Rouge Regional and what’s to come down below.
What all are we mixing into today's Brew?
🎥 Fashion statement
⚾️ Feeling super
🐯 And much, much more!
Fashion Forward. There’s glitz, glam, and sparkle in the world of gymnastics and now you can go “Behind the Seams” of the production of LSU gymnastics leotards. Assistant Coach Ashleigh Gnat explains the design process and her creative mind behind every new leotard the team wore this season. Check it out on LSU Gold!
🔼 Feeling Super. The Tigers made it through the Baton Rouge Regional unscathed! LSU had a hit show in Alex Box Stadium yesterday when they beat Oregon State 13-7. The Tigers put 19 hits on the Beavers.
⚾️ Four For Four. Four runs came in the top of the fourth inning for the Tigers thanks to a bases loaded walk, a Jordan Thompson sac fly, and a Josh Pearson triple.
⚾️ Going Back-To-Back (Again). Back-to-back home run action lit up the fifth inning. Hayden Travinski homered and then Cade Beloso followed with the same thing for the second day in-a-row.
⚾️ Keep ‘Em Comin’. The home run party continued through the sixth and seventh innings with jacks from Dylan Crews and Gavin Dugas. Crews was named Most Outstanding Player of the regional.
➡️ Up Next. The Tigers will host Kentucky this weekend at Alex Box Stadium for a best-of-3 series.
🔼 Watching You. The Bowerman Watchlist continues to house Tigers as Alia Armstrong makes the 2023 Pre-NCAA Outdoor Championships Watchlist. Michaela Rose also received votes after punching her two tickets to the championships.
🔼 Not Done Yet. Senior women’s golf star Ingrid Lindblad continues to make waves as she was named one of four finalists for the Class of 2023 Honda Sports Award for Golf. No one has had a career at LSU like Ingrid has, she’s the first golfer in program history to earn First Team All-American for four straight years. This is her second year in-a-row being named a finalist and the award will be announced on June 26.
🔼 Standing In The Hall Of Fame. Former LSU linebacker Bradie James is officially on the ballot for the NFF College Football Hall of Fame Class of 2024. His time with the Tigers lasted from 1998-2002. Bradie was a three-time All-SEC selection and first-team All-American in 2002. He sits at second on the LSU career tackles list with 418. After his time at LSU, he went on to play 10 years in the NFL.
In The Hall. LSU had a former Tiger inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2022.
Do you remember who that player was?

Answer: Kevin Faulk
He remains the SEC’s leader in career all-purpose yards and was the 11th Tiger to enter the College Football Hall of Fame.
Have a great Tuesday, y'all.
