🔼 Sweep Slam. LSU women’s golfer Ingrid Lindblad has done it again! She completed the sweep slam of major women’s golf awards when she was named the Honda Sports Award winner. The win makes her a finalist for the Collegiate Woman Athlete of the Year and the 2024 Honda Cup. She turned pro after the 2024 U.S. Women’s Open and joined the Epson Tour.
🔼 Super Seven. LSU baseball dominated the 2024 ABCA All-South Region teams. Tommy White, Jared Jones, Luke Holman, and Griffin Herring were voted first team. Steven Milam, Hayden Travinski, and Gage Jump earned second team honors.
🔼 Forever LSU. Two LSU men’s tennis alumni have paired up in doubles for the grass court season. Michael Venus and Neal Skupski will begin play this week at the ATP 500 and going through Wimbledon. The two paired up as LSU doubles partners in 2009. They were ranked No. 4 and went 15-7 on the No. 1 court.
🔼 Two For You. The women’s tennis team earned a No. 2 ranking in the ITA Tennis Southern Region! Chris Simpson was named Southern Region Assistant Coach of the year and Kenna Erickson earned Rookie of the Year. Her doubles team with Anita Sahdiieva ranked No. 5.
