🔼 Secured The Series. LSU baseball earned another SEC series win this weekend! They took two games from Auburn, including a Friday night shutout. The Tigers blanked Auburn 5-0 as Gage Jump threw seven scoreless innings. Tommy White and Hayden Travinski hit home runs in the win. They kept the momentum high on Saturday and secured the series with a 3-2 win. Josh Pearson hit a two-out single in the bottom of the ninth to score Alex Milazzo and walk-off the Auburn Tigers. Thatcher Hurd earned the win after recording the final out in the top of the ninth. Sunday went the other Tigers way as Auburn won the finale, 7-5.

🔼 The Path To The NFL. More Tigers were taken in the NFL Draft over the weekend! Maason Smith went to the Jacksonville Jaguars in the second round at pick No. 48. He’ll be reunited with teammate Brian Thomas Jr. Jordan Jefferson also went to the Jaguars in the fourth round. Mekhi Wingo was drafted in the sixth round by the Detroit Lions. Ovie Oghoufo signed with the New York Giants, Omar Speights signed with the Los Angeles Rams, André Sam signed with the Philadelphia Eagles, Noah Cain signed with the Cincinnati Bengals, and Charles Turner III signed with the New England Patriots.

🔼 Geauxin’ To Gulf Shores. The Sandy Tigs will take on the NCAA Beach Volleyball Championship as the No. 11 seed! They’ll play No. 6 TCU in Gulf Shores at 4 pm on Friday. They’ve made it to the tournament every year since 2017. The Tigers made it to the semifinal of the CCSA Tournament after beating No. 17 GCU. They fell to South Carolina afterwards. Reilly Allred and Parker Bracken made the CCSA All-Tournament Team.

🔼 Grand Finale. LSU track & field closed out the regular season on Saturday as they hosted the LSU Invitational. The men’s 4×100 relay team ran a new nation-leading time to win the race. Godson Oghenebrume went on to win the men’s 100m with a season-best time. Leah Phillips won the women’s 100m hurdles with Shani’a Bellamy right behind her. Estel Valeanu won the discus throw and improved on her No. 2 all-time LSU record. They’ll take on the SEC Outdoor Championships May 9-11.
