🔼  Everybody Eats. Last night was a fun one for the LSU Tigers who recorded 17 hits in the 26-2 win over Grambling. LSU blasted five home runs thanks to Tommy White, Hayden Travinski, Brady Neal, Jake Brown, and Zeb Ruddell. Even pitcher Gavin Guidry got to have some fun at the plate, he hit a double off the first pitch he saw. Javen Coleman got the start and the win on the mound. The Tigers will be back in action this weekend when they host Texas A&M.

🔼 Back-To-Back Trips. Women’s golfer Aine Donegan will make a trip to the U.S. Women’s Open for the second-straight year! She qualified by winning an event at the Rockwall Golf and Athletic Club. She finished at 9-under par 135. She’ll join her teammates Ingrid Lindblad and Latanna Stone and former Tiger Madelene Sagstrom at the Open, May 30 - June 2.

🔼 He’s The Man. LSU track & field’s Godson Oghenebrume was named SEC Men’s Runner of the Week! At last weekend’s LSU Invitational, he helped lead the men’s 4×100m relay team to a win and a new nation-leading time. They defeated Japan and Athletics Canada in 38.40 seconds. After that win, he went on to win the 100m dash with a No. 4 in the nation time of 10.00s. This is Godson’s fourth SEC weekly honor of his career.

🔼 Stay Steady. The LSU track & field teams stayed still in this week’s USTFCCCA rankings, which isn’t a bad thing considering where they are. The women’s team remained at No. 1, while the men stayed at No. 3. The Tigers have 24 marks that rank inside the top 10 of the national rankings. Claudio Romero is at the top of the discus throw, Michaela Rose is No. 1 in the 800m, and the men’s 4×100 A team is at the top of their event.

🏆 THE MIKEY AWARDS
