📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Lyston Up. Another week, another Tiger being named the USTFCCCA National Athlete of the Week and SEC Women’s Runner of the Week! This week, Brianna Lyston received the honor. She ran the fastest-qualifying time in the 60m preliminaries in her season debut on Saturday. She wasn’t done there, she came back to run a 7.07 time in the final — tying Aleia Hobbs LSU record. Brianna is the only athlete to go sub-7.10 in the 60m so far this collegiate season.

🔼 High Hopes. D1 Baseball named Tommy White Preseason First Team All-America and Luke Holman Third Team All-America! Also known as Tommy Tanks, the third baseman led the country in RBI and was third in total bases last season. We haven’t seen Luke in Purple & Gold yet, as he transferred from Alabama in the offseason. He made 31 appearances for the Tide over the last two years and recorded 111 strikeouts in 100 innings.

🔼  Bigger Picture. This week, Jimmy and Robin Burrow represented The Joe Burrow Foundation and came to the PMAC for Planting Seeds of Hope, a conversation on mental health awareness. They were joined by former LSU football players Kevin Faulk and Delvin Breaux as they work to normalize talking about mental health and provided resources for students and student-athletes seeking help. Former LSU gymnast and current assistant coach Ashleigh Gnat was also a part of the panel. Here’s a powerful message from Robin on the topic.
