What else did we pour into today’s Brew?

⚾️ Baseball season comes to a close
🏈 On the ballot
🐯 And much, much more!

🔼 End Of The Road. LSU baseball fought until the very end, which was a 10 inning Regional Championship game at North Carolina. Senior Will Hellmers showed plenty of will, pitching 5.2 shutout innings. Jake Brown hit his fourth home run of the season to tie the game at 2-2. Jared Jones hit his 28th of the year to take the 3-2 lead. North Carolina took the lead in the top of the 10th and eventually won 4-3. Alex Milazzo, Jared Jones, Steven Milam, Michael Braswell III, Josh Pearson, and Griffin Herring made the Chapel Hill All-Tournament Team. The Tigers finish the season with a 43-23 record.

🔼 Big Fans. Former LSU offensive lineman and Pro Football Hall of Famer Alan Faneca is on the 2025 College Football Hall of Fame ballot. He was a dominant run blocker who earned first-team All-America honors and the Jacobs Trophy in 1997. After LSU, he was drafted in the first round of the 1998 NFL Draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers. He started 204 regular season games in the NFL. Former LSU head coach Nick Saban is also listed on the ballot.

🔼  Hometown Throwdown. The women’s basketball team will take on the University of Illinois Chicago in Aneesah Morrow’s return to her hometown! The Tigers are set to play UIC on December 19, two days after their Hall of Fame game with Seton Hall in Connecticut.

There will be a lot of people that have followed Aneesah from the beginning of her basketball career that will have the opportunity to come out and see her play with LSU. Chicago is a city with rich basketball history so we look forward to bring our team there for a game.
