Good morning! And congratulations to women’s golfer Ingrid Lindblad for winning the Clemson Invitational! She’s now the all-time women’s collegiate winner in the SEC with 14 championships.

🔼 Claim The Crown. LSU gymnastics won their fifth SEC Championship! They finished with a score of 198.075, matching the programs highest score at the championships. Haleigh Bryant was the top all-around performer of the meet with a score of 39.800. Konnor McClain scored a perfect 10 in her SEC Championships debut! The Tigers won titles on every event and five gymnasts combined for five individual SEC championships — Haleigh Bryant, Ashley Cowan, Konnor McClain, KJ Johnson, and Kiya Johnson.

🔼 How Sweet It Is. The Tigers are headed to the Sweet 16! The No. 3 women’s basketball team defeated Middle Tennessee, 83-56. The PMAC was rockin’ with 12,632 fans. Flau’Jae Johnson led the team with 21 points, plus four rebounds, two assists, two blocks, and a steal. Angel Reese and Aneesah Morrow recorded double-doubles, Angel scoring 20 with 11 boards and Aneesah scoring 19 points with 13 rebounds. The Tigers will play UCLA or Creighton on Saturday.

🔼 Total Tiger Takeover. LSU won 15 events at their Keyth Talley Track & Field Invitational on Saturday. Michaela Rose set a collegiate record in the 600m, beating the old record by more than two seconds. The men’s and women’s short-hurdles squads took gold in their events with top times in the nation. The women’s 4×100m relay squad won their event with a nation-leading time. Next weekend, the Tigers will host the two-day Battle on the Bayou and Ella Chestnut will go to the Raleigh Relays to compete in the 10,000m.

🔼 Rocked The Box. LSU baseball went 1-2 against Florida over the weekend at Alex Box Stadium. Tiger fans set the second-highest home attendance number in LSU history on Saturday with 12,892 fans showing out. The Tigers came out strong, getting the 6-1 win on Friday night as Luke Holman held Florida to one run on one hit. He recorded a career-high 13 strikeouts. Saturday was an all night fight for the Tigers, where they fell 6-4 in 11 innings. Hayden Travinski, Mac Bingham, and Jared Jones each hit solo home runs to add on to the board. Six Gator home runs were too much for the Tigers to overcome in Sunday’s series finale, LSU fell 12-2.

🔼  Silver Lining. The women’s swim & dive team was at the 2024 NCAA Championships over the weekend and brought home 12 All-America honors and a silver finish. Montserrat Gutierrez Lavenant took silver on the platform dive for the second-straight season. She also picked up All-American honors in the one-meter and three-meter dives. Maggie Buckley earned All-America on the platform. Megan Barnes set a new school record in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:41.01. The 800-free relay team also set a new school record of 7:00.69. The Tigers finished the meet in 21st.
