🔼  Perfect Duo. Perfect Game Baseball named Tommy White and Luke Holman 2024 Preseason All-Americans! Tommy Tanks was voted to the First Team after batting .374 last season with 24 doubles, 24 home runs, 105 RBI, and 64 runs scored. We haven’t seen Luke on the mound in Purple & Gold yet, as he transferred from Alabama during the offseason. He made 31 appearances, including 15 starts, for the Crimson Tide over the last two seasons and posted a 4.05 ERA with 111 strikeouts. He was named to the Third Team.

🔼 Intimidators. Perfect Game Baseball also released their 2024 Preseason Poll, and the defending National Champions landed at No. 3. Wake Forest and Arkansas were listed at 1 and 2. Reigning National Coach of the Year Jay Johnson returned 21 players from the title winning team and brought in the third-best recruiting class in the country. The season will officially start sooner than later, on February 16.

🔼 Starting Strong. Inside Gymnastics named Haleigh Bryant their first Gymnast of the Week of the season! She finished at the top of the all-around rankings with a score of 39.675 after the Tigers met with No. 14 Ohio State. She was the vault and all-around champion of the meet. The Tigers landed at No. 5 in the week one Road to Nationals rankings.

🔼  The Wright Stuff, Baby. The conference named Jordan Wright the SEC Co-Player of the Week! He scored 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in the Tigers’ win at Texas A&M to start conference play and earned his 10th career double-double. He also had two assists, two steals, and a block.

The Tigers are home tonight and hosting an SEC opponent! The men’s basketball team will host Vanderbilt at 8 pm for their SEC home opener. The Tigers are on a three-game win streak and just snapped a 13-game losing streak on opponents’ home courts. You can tune in on the SEC Network and the LSU Sports Radio Network.
