Good morning! Have you been wanting to meet The Skipper? Skip Bertman will be signing copies of “Everything Matters in Baseball — The Skip Bertman Story” on Saturday from 4-6 pm before the baseball game next to his statue!

Half a decade ago, the LSU Gymnastics team triumphed in the SEC championship in the city of New Orleans. Now, five years later, history repeats as they clinch the title once more. Amid the glittering cascade of confetti and the celebration of the trophy, the team's gaze remains fixed on larger victories that lie ahead.

🔼 Jump Around. Jump up, jump up, and get down! Gage Jump is your SEC Pitcher of the Week! He got the start at Missouri on Friday and threw a seven-inning complete game for the first win of the series. He produced a career-high 14 strikeouts and limited the Tigers to one run on three hits. He’s the first LSU pitcher to throw a seven-inning complete game since Paul Skenes last season, that’s some pretty good company.

LSU baseball will host Nicholls tonight at 6:30pm.

🔼 Last Midweek Matchup. LSU softball will head to Lafayette for their last midweek game of the season. They’ll play No. 19/25 UL-Lafayette tonight at 6 pm. The Tigers took down the Ragin’ Cajuns 4-2 last week in Baton Rouge. The game will stream on ESPN+ and you can also listen on the LSU Sports Radio Network.

🔼 Fantastic Four. Four LSU softball players, former and current, will be representing USA Softball this summer in Italy and Japan. Aliyah Andrews and Taylor Pleasants are on the Japan All-Star Series roster and will compete July 4-8 in three cities in Japan. They’ll also play two games against Great Britain. Carley Hoover and Sahvanna Jaquish will play on the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) World Cup Finals roster. They’ll play in Castions de Strada, Italy July 15-21.

🔼 He’s The Man. For the second-straight week, Claudio Romero was the talk of the men’s track & field results! His performance earned him USTFCCCA National Athlete of the Week. The Tigers hosted LSU Alumni Gold on Saturday and Claudio dominated. He recorded a new PR of 67.29 meters to win the discus title. His new record is the new Chilean-national and LSU record. All four of his marks at the meet would have been nation-leading marks ahead of the next best athlete.

🏈 PATH TO THE DRAFT

LSU Football wide receiver Brian Thomas, Jr. is preparing for this week’s NFL Draft. Earlier in the year, he shared his journey from the basketball courts and football fields growing up in Baton Rouge to leading the nation in touchdowns on one of the most prolific LSU offenses in the history of the program.
