🔼 She’s The Best. There was never a doubt that Igrid Lindblad should win the 2024 ANNIKA Award. That dream came true yesterday as Annika Sorenstam presented Ingrid with the award at the NCAA Championships. The award goes to the top female DI collegiate golfer. Ingrid has broken SEC and LSU records in her five years as a Tiger. She remains the World No. 1-ranked amateur as her college career has come to a close.

🔼  Jumped Early. LSU baseball made a statement in their SEC Tournament opener! They defeated No. 6 seed Georgia, 9-1. Gage Jump dominated the mound, throwing 105 pitches and limiting the Bulldogs to one run on four hits with seven strikeouts. Josh Pearson had a three RBI day with a double. Tommy White and Michael Braswell III had three hits and one RBI each. Freshman Steven Milam hit his fifth home run of the year to drive in two. They’ll turn around and play Kentucky this morning at 9:30 am on SEC Network.

🔼 Finished Strong. The successful LSU women’s golf season came to an end yesterday as the Tigers fell in the match play quarterfinals. They lost to Oregon, 3-2. This marks the end of collegiate careers for Ingrid Lindblad, Latanna Stone, and Carla Tejedo — a trio that has rewritten LSU record books.

🔼 Off To The Races. LSU track & field is kicking off the NCAA East First Round today at Kentucky’s Track & Field Complex. The Tigers have 42 student-athletes, 21 men and 21 women, competing this week. The meet will kick off with the men’s hammer throw at 9 am this morning. Live coverage of the meet will air on ESPN+.

Ciara Briggs earned Second Team honors. Raeleen Gutierrez, Kelley Lynch, and Taylor Pleasants landed on the Third Team. The softball team will play in the Stanford Super Regional on Friday.
