Good morning! Pro Tiger Paul Skenes started for the Pittsburgh Pirates during Spring Training yesterday. He hasn’t skipped a beat, he hit 102 mph twice in the first inning!

🔼 Juice The Bases. The LSU baseball team will spend their weekend at Minute Maid Park for the Astros Foundation College Classic in Houston! They’ll get things started tonight at 7 pm against No. 14 Texas. Tomorrow night, they’ll take on UL-Lafayette at the same time. They’ll complete the weekend with a 3 pm matchup with Texas State on Sunday.

🔼 We’re Hosting. LSU softball is hosting the 2024 Purple & Gold Challenge this weekend! They’ll play six games over three days against Illinois, San Diego State, McNeese, and Louisiana Tech. They’ll start the tournament off tonight at 4 pm against Illinois, then play San Diego State immediately after. All of the games will stream on SEC Network+.

🔼 Nine Shine. LSU track & field combine for nine entries for the NCAA Indoor Championships! The men’s and women’s 4×400 relay teams will be competing, along with Brianna Lyston, Michaela Rose, Alia Armstrong, Leah Philips, Thelma Davies, John Meyer, and Luke Witte. They’ll compete in Boston March 7-9 and you can tune in on ESPN+.

🔼 Let’s Flippin’ Geaux. The No. 2 ranked gymnastics squad is hosting No. 9 Alabama tonight at the PMAC! It’s a student point night, we’ll give away light up wants, and t-shirts for students! The Tigers and the Tide will get things started a 5 pm on ESPN2. Olympian and World Champion gymnast Bridget Sloan and six-time All-American and current Big Ten analyst Olivia Karas had nothing but positive things to say about the Tigers in the Mid-Season Check-In on the Flipping Out Podcast. They discuss the stacked roster and multiple all-around superstars on the team. Bridget Sloan said, “I don't even know how to describe what I think about LSU because they just, they perform well every single weekend.” The Tigers are currently projected as one of the four seeded teams at the Michigan Regional.
