Uncut. LSU Football's new Tight Ends Coach is mic'd up for his first spring ball with the Tigers as a position coach and coordinator. After working with LSU special teams in 2009, Slade Nagle is back in Baton Rouge and brings with him deep ties to Louisiana recruiting and college coaching across the state.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Let’s Geaux Girls. It all starts today! The second-ranked gymnastics team is in Fort Worth, Texas for the 2024 NCAA Championships. They’re competing in a field of eight teams who are trying to make it to the Final Four. LSU will compete in session one today at 3:30 pm with No. 3 California, No. 12 Arkansas, and Stanford. The competition will air on ESPN2.

🔼 Simply The Best. We can’t talk about LSU gymnastics without mentioning Haleigh Bryant. She was just named the 2024 AAI Award Winner as the top senior gymnast in the nation! She heads to nationals with 31 titles just this year. She owns the second most vault titles in school history with 33 and the most all-around titles with 28. In the classroom, she’s a two-time Scholastic All-American and three-time SEC Academic Honor Roll member. She’s her.

🔼 Survive & Advance. The No. 44 men’s tennis team took advantage of playing on their home court and opened the SEC Tournament with a 4-1 win over No. 62 Ole Miss. They took the doubles point quickly before Alessio Vasquez, Julien Penzlin, and Chen Dong took the singles points for the Tigers. They’ll advance to the second round of the tournament and play No. 14 Texas A&M at 6 pm today.

🔼 Dazzling Diver. LSU made a splash in the conference! Montserrat Gutierrez Lavenant was named SEC Female Diver of the Year and Drew Livingston earned SEC Women’s Diving Coach of the Year for the second-straight year. He led the Tigers to two runner-up finished at NCAA’s, two SEC titles, two SEC silver medalists, and four SEC bronze medalists. Montse picked up her second career NCAA runner-up finish this season. She won her second SEC Championship on the three-meter and podiumed on each event at the meet. Additionally, four Tigers earned All-SEC honors — Montse, Carson Paul, Jere Bribar, and Jovan Lekic.

🔼 Hit The Books. LSU’s nominees for this year’s SEC McWhorter Scholar-Athlete Post-Graduate Scholarship are Ellie Shank and Ben Koch! The scholarship goes to the SEC’s top male and female scholar-athletes. The winners will be announced on May 2.

• Ellie is a beach volleyball player who is a First Team All-American, 2023 AVCA Fall Pairs National Champion, 2023 USA Volleyball Women’s Beach Collegiate Champion, and Athlete’s For Hope Student Athlete of the Year. She received her Bachelor of Science in Finance in December.

• Ben is a three-time ITA Scholar Athlete on the men’s tennis team. He has appeared on the SEC Spring Academic Honor Roll twice. He’s received the Wally Pontiff Jr. Award and was named LSU Community Service Athlete of the Year.
