Where’s That Tiger: Booger McFarland. We caught up with former Tiger and Super Bowl Champion, Anthony “Booger” McFarland on this episode of Where’s That Tiger. Booger had a career in the NFL with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Indianapolis Colts, before joining ESPN.
🔼 Louisiana Tuesday Night. The No. 1 team in baseball (still) is home again, hosting UL-Lafayette tonight at 6:30. The Ragin’ Cajuns are 25-12 overall and coming off a series win over Troy.
Tank That. Tommy White was named SEC Player of the Week after leading LSU to three wins in four games last week. He went 7-for-18 (.389) and hit four doubles, one home run, 11 RBIs, and four runs. He hit the game winning RBI in all three wins and he leads the nation with 62 RBIs.
🔼 Will To Win. Coach McMahon and the Tigers are joined by transfer Will Baker, a redshirt senior and seven-foot forward from Austin, Texas. He had two great seasons at Nevada after his freshman year at Texas. He averaged 13.6 points and 5.2 rebounds this past season.
🔼 Serving On The Road. Women’s tennis got the dub in the final regular season match at Kentucky, winning 4-2. Safiya Carrington earned her 18th win when she defeated Carlota Molina to take the 2-0 lead. No. 17 Anastasiya Komar got her singles win to improve her season record to 18-2. She also clinched the doubles point in her 10th ranked pair with Kylie Collins to improve to 10-0. The team heads to Arkansas for the SEC Tournament tomorrow.
🔼 In The Top 10. LSU is the only school in the nation with both men and women ranking top-10 every week this season, with the women at 5 and the men at 9. Michaela Rose sits at first in the nation with the fastest 800m time of 1:59.08. John Meyer is third in the nation and first in the SEC with his throw of 66’6.” The men’s 4 × 100 still rank No. 1 in the nation as well. The Tigers have 14 marks that rank in the top-10 of the national rankings this season.
Can’t Stop The Power. LSU baseball has not dropped a series yet.
