Things shake up defensively and the brotherhood strengthens as LSU Football enters its second week of camp preparing for the 2024 season.
🔼 Jumpin’ For Joy. The LSU track & field programs are jumpin’ for joy this week after landing two big time athletes to join the Tigers next season.
Machaeda Linton, a NAIA National Champion, and All-American Jordan Turner will don the Purple & Gold next season to add to a talented stable of jumpers.
🔼 Home Sweet Home. A new face at LSU is already making an impact globally.
LSU volleyball outside hitter Ana Tevdoradze will travel home to Tbilisi, Georgia, to compete with the Georgian Women’s Volleyball National Team at the CEV Eurovolley 2026 Championship Qualifier.
Tevdoradze will join the team during pool play to face Portugal at 7 p.m. CT on Saturday, Aug. 17, at the New Volleyball Arena TBILISI before returning to Baton Rouge. Fans can watch the match on EuroVolleyTV. The Miami Dade College (MDC) transfer has played with the Georgian National Team for six years and was captain for the 16, 17, and 18U teams.
Tevdoradze is an NJCAA and AVCA All-American who will have two years of eligibility after leading MDC to the NJCAA Championship match the last two seasons. She averaged 4.10 points and 3.51 kills per set in her two seasons at MDC.
🎥 LSUGOLD: THE VAULT
LSU fans across the world had to wait 45 years between the Tigers’ first and second National Championships.
They only had to wait four between the second and third, but the victory tasted just as sweet on January 7, 2008.
With a dominating 38-24 win over Ohio State in the Bowl Championship Series Championship Game, the LSU Football team left little doubt in the minds of those in the college football universe who the best team was during the 2007 season.
Forget USC. Forget Georgia. Forget Ohio State. Remember LSU.
