Diamonds. All-American Haleigh Bryant has become one of the best gymnasts in the country throughout this season. She has scored five perfect 10's on various events this season, and she even had her own "flu meet." You can get to know her story and how she had to step up this season on this episode of The Climb.

🔼 Yeah, That LSU. 🏆 In Kim Mulkey's second year at LSU, the Tigers are national champions! What an amazing weekend. First, the Tigers toppled Virginia Tech on Friday in the Final Four. Then, they absolutely dominated Iowa in the National Championship game yesterday, winning 102-85.

History Made. LSU had been to the Final Four five times prior to this season, but had never made it to the National Championship game. This is the first NCAA Basketball Championship and the 50th team national title in LSU history. Coach Mulkey became the first women's basketball coach to win NCAA championships at multiple schools. The Tigers set the record for points scored in a Women's Final Four game, scoring 102 points. LSU also set the record for points in a half with 59 points scored in just the first half. The Tigers ended the season breaking the school record with six 100 point games in a season.

Off The Bench. Jasmine Carson heard that people were expecting a lot of three-pointers from a specific player yesterday, so she became that player, coming in off the bench to go 5-6 from three and score 22 points. She also banked a 3 ball at the buzzer to head to halftime.

MOP. Angel Reese has been the MVP all season for LSU, and last night she was crowned Most Outstanding Player of the National Championship. She broke the NCAA record with 34 double-doubles in a season despite getting in foul trouble early in the game.

Hero In Her Home State. Alexis Morris has been saying that she wanted to have her senior night in her home state of Texas, and she called her shot. The senior put up 21 points and 9 assists in the title game. She had to guard Iowa superstar Caitlin Clark when she was on the floor and did her best to hold her to 9-22 from the field. If you have not heard Alexis' story, you can watch it here on LSU Gold.

🔼 Sent 'Em Home. LSU baseball sent Tennessee packing after taking the series on Thursday and Friday. Tennessee bounced back and won 14-7 on Saturday to close out.

The Tigers took game two on Friday, 6-4. Brady Neal and Gavin Dugas hit back-to-back bombs to give the Tigers the lead in the 4th inning. Chase Shores and Griffin Herring paired up for four innings of work, allowing no runs on two hits.

Saturday started off really rough for LSU, but the Tigers showed resiliency and battled back the best they could. Tennessee stacked up 10 runs in the first two innings, which is never ideal. Dylan Crews did his job, going 4 for 4 with 3 RBIs. The Tigers offense just couldn't quite bounce back, losing 14-7.

LSU improves to 24-4 after the weekend and 6-3 in conference. The Tigers will be back in "The Box" on Tuesday hosting Nicholls at 6:30pm.

🔼 Climbing To The Championship. LSU gymnastics upset top-seeded Michigan in a tie break to head to the NCAA Championships in Fort Worth. Both teams scored a 197.750, which is the second-highest score in a regional in program history. Haleigh Bryant scored an amazing 9.950 on floor to guarantee the tie. Bryant also hit a 9.950 on beam and Aleah Finnegan scored a 9.900. Bryant's best score was on bars where she picked up a 9.975. The NCAA Semifinals will be held in Fort Worth, Texas on April 13th.

🔼 How Sweep It Is. The Purple & Gold Challenge didn't seem like too much of a challenge for LSU softball, they swept the whole thing! The Tigers went 5-0 this weekend and had two shutouts, both against NC State.

On Friday, the Tigers scored 22 runs in two games and had a .429 batting average. Ciara Briggs hit her second grand slam of the season and had four hits on the day. The Tigers run ruled both games, beating NC State 12-0 and BYU 10-2.

Sydney Berzon continued her dominance on Saturday when she retired 10 of 11 Louisiana Tech batters, allowing no hits or runs in 3.2 innings. Ciara Briggs had another good day with two RBIs along with Karli Petty. The Tigers beat the Lady Techsters 6-2.

The Tiger sweep continued on Sunday as they wrapped up the weekend shutting out NC State, 7-0. Ali Kilponen allowed no runs and threw five strikeouts. Danieca Coffey went 3 for 3 scoring 2 runs and an RBI. Raeleen Gutierrez hit her first home run in two years and went 2 for 3.

SEC dominance. This is the best start to SEC play in awhile for the Tigers baseball team.
