🔼 Run For It. LSU baseball made a run through the SEC Tournament over the weekend! On Saturday, they beat South Carolina in 10 innings, 12-11, to advance to the championship game. Steven Milam launched a two-run home run in the bottom of the 10th to walk it off. The Tigers won seven-straight games on their way to the SEC Championship game. Top-seeded Tennessee was on the slate for Sunday’s game. Jared Jones started the game by hitting his 26th home run of the season. The Vols fired back with a three-run shot to take the lead. The Tigers started to rally in the ninth inning when they scored two more runs. LSU fell 4-3. The 64 teams playing in the NCAA Tournament will be announced today at 11 am on ESPN2.
🔼 That’s A Wrap. LSU softball started the Stanford Super Regional with a big win, but fell on Saturday and Sunday to finish the season. Friday’s win was an 11-1 run-rule as the Tigers exploded for eight runs in the fifth inning. Kelley Lynch’s first home run of the season was a grand slam. Ali Newland and Maci Bergeron also hit home runs in the win. The Tigers were blanked on Saturday and Sunday. They end the season with a 44-17 overall record.
