Cutting Edge. On this episode of the Cutting Edge with Jack Marucci, the guys dive deeper into "Cognilize," a German virtual reality system, that has played a key role in enhancing quarterback training and awareness.

🔼 Beast Mode. Defense was the name of the first half for the women’s basketball team’s win over Texas A&M last night. The Tigers held the Aggies to just 14 points in the first half, and finished the game winning 81-58. Aneesah Morrow earned her 16th double-double of the season with 25 points and 15 rebounds. Flau’Jae Johnson scored 20 points with nine rebounds for her 16th-straight double figure game. Angel Reese completed her 50th double-double as a Tiger with 13 points and 10 boards.

🔼 Sweet Sweep. The baseball team officially swept opening weekend yesterday with a 4-3 win over Central Arkansas! Jared Jones blasted his third homer of the season to continue to lead the Tigers in home runs and RBI. Freshman pitcher Kade Anderson earned the win in his first career start. The Tigers will be back in action at 2 pm on Thursday as they host Northern Illinois.

🏆 Hayden Travinski was named the SEC Co-Player of the Week! He batted .636 through the weekend with one home run, four RBIs, and eight runs scored.

🔼 LSU Takes Lead. The women’s golf team tied for the lead today at the Moon Golf Invitational in some nasty, rainy, windy conditions. Aine Donegan tied for the low round of the day, shooting 3-under. She sits in second-place individually. Ingrid Lindblad is tied for fourth at 2-under 142. The Tigers will play the final round today.

🔼  Building Momentum. The Tigers are movin’ on up in some polls, let’s see where they stand!

• Gymnastics is sittin’ pretty at No. 2 overall! They rank second in floor and vault, third on bars, and fifth on beam.

• Baseball is ranked No. 2 by Baseball America and No. 3 by D1Baseball and Perfect Game.

• Softball jumped to No. 6 in the D1Softball and Softball America Top-25.

• Women’s track & field rose three spots to No. 9 in this week’s USTFCCCA rankings.

• Women’s basketball remains at No. 13 in the AP Poll for the third week in-a-row.
