🔼 Keep Stacking. The awards have not stopped coming in for Jayden Daniels this week. So far, he’s won the Walter Camp National Offensive Player of the Week, Maxwell Award National Player of the Week, Davey O’Brien National QB of the Week, and SEC Offensive Player of the Week. He was also named a semifinalist for the Davey O’Brien Award.
🏆 Jayden and Malik Nabers were named semifinalists for the Maxwell Award.
🏆 The offensive line got some recognition too, they were named one of 12 semifinalists for the Joe Moore Award.
🏆 Offensive Coordinator Mike Denbrock is a nominee for the Broyles Award, going to the top assistant coach in the nation.
🔼 No Rookie Woes. The women’s basketball team showed out in front of a packed house of 9,117 fans yesterday morning as they hosted the annual field trip game. They had another 100-point game, beating Kent State 109-79. Mikaylah Williams put up video game numbers with 42-points, five three-pointers, and seven rebounds. That’s the most points scored by a freshman in program history. The last time a player reached 42 points or more was 1995. Aneesah Morrow scored 17 points and added eight rebounds and nine steals — the school record is 10 steals. The Tigers will hit the road to Southeastern Louisiana on Friday night at 7pm.
