📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Not Done Yet. LSU baseball is headed to the Chapel Hill Regional! The Tigers were selected as the No. 2 seed in the regional. They’ll play No. 3-seed Wofford on Friday at 11 am on ESPNU. North Carolina and Long Island are on the other side of the regional bracket.

🔼  Through The Gauntlet. The men’s golf team wrapped up their season on Sunday at the NCAA Championship. The team finished in 18th-place, three spots behind the cut line. Connor Gaunt advanced to Monday’s final individual round, where he finished tied for 18th. He finished just five shots off the tournament winning score.

🔼 Mighty Men. The men’s track & field team sent 14 athletes to the NCAA Outdoor Championship! Godson Oghenebrume and Da’Marcus Fleming will represent LSU in the 100m. Jahiem Stern and Matthew Sophia will wear the Purple & Gold in the 110mH. Dillon Bedell will run the 400m and Sean “Squirrel” Burrell will run the 400mH. The Tigers are also sending the 4×100m and 4×400m squads. Kuda Chadenga will compete in the high jump and John Meyer will throw shot put. Will Lawrence and Tzuriel Pedigo will throw javelin. They’ll compete June 5 and 7 in Eugene, Oregon.

🔼  We’re In. The women’s track & field team also had 14 athletes punch tickets to the NCAA Outdoor Championships with 22 entries! The sprinters were the highlight on Saturday. Brianna Lyston, Thelma Davies, and Tima Godbless each qualified in the 100m, 200m, and 4×100m relay. Aniyah Bigam also qualified in the 200m. Ella Onojuvwevwo qualified in the 400m and 4×400m relay. Michaela Rose will run in the 800m and 4×400m relay. Leah Phillips and Shani’a Bellamy will run the 100mH and 400mH. Lorena Rangel-Batres will run the 1500. Morgan Smalls became the only athlete in the nation to punch three individual-event tickets, qualifying in the high jump, long jump, and triple jump. Taylor Fingers also qualified in the triple jump. Estel Valeanu will throw discus and Trinity Spooner will throw javelin. They’ll compete in Eugene, Oregon on June 6 and 8.
