Tigers Win. Happy Opening Weekend! Baseball is back at The Box, and Hunt Palmer of 104.5 ESPN joins Tigers Win to preview the 2024 Tigers ahead of Friday's opener.
📈 STOCK UP
🔼 Open Season. Baseball season is finally here! Get the celebration started with us at Opening Day Fan Fest outside Alex Box Stadium from 11 am - 2 pm. There will be food trucks, inflatables, face painting, and more! At 2 pm, the reigning National Champions will start the season against VMI. The first 2,500 fans will receive championship pennants! They’ll play Central Arkansas tomorrow at 1 pm, VMI again on Sunday, and Central Arkansas again on Monday afternoon. All of this weekend’s games will be streaming on SEC Network+.
🔼 Show Stopping. The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association named Gavin Guidry to the 2024 Stopper of the Year Watch List! The award goes to the top relief pitcher in college baseball. Gavin became a reliable arm as a freshman last season, posting a 3-0 record and three saves. He sat down to talk about his evolution as an LSU Baseball player, his relationship with catcher Hayden Travinski, and looking ahead to the 2024 season.
🔼 Day One Done. The softball team beat Georgia Tech 12-8 for their first win of the weekend at the Clearwater Invitational. Raeleen Gutierrez was just a single shy of completing the cycle. She went 3-for-4 and added her third home run of the season. Karli Petty also went 3-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored. Raelin Chaffin improved to 2-0 in the circle and threw five strikeouts. They’ll take on No. 22 Northwestern tomorrow, No. 6 Oklahoma State and No. 5 Washington on Saturday, and end the weekend against Minnesota on Sunday.
🔼 Remembering The Past. It’s alumni night in the PMAC as the Tigers host a gymnastics meet against No. 12 Auburn!
