The Powerhouse. LSU Baseball prepares to attack the 2024 season and cement a new legacy. Powered by Hayden Travinski & Gavin Guidry, the Tigers enter a new year with unwavering confidence in their process.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Pitch Perfect. LSU softball started the season with five-straight shutouts over the weekend! They hosted Memphis and Pittsburgh in the LSU Invitational at Tiger Park and did some damage at the plate. They run-ruled Memphis twice, once 19-0. The LSU pitching staff logged 29 strikeouts and held batters to a .112 average through 29 innings. Taylor Pleasants stood out with 10 RBIs, three hits, and two home runs during the LSU Invitational. Ali Newland batted .500 and added four RBIs and two runs throughout the tournament. The Tigers will be back in action at the famous Clearwater Invitational on Thursday.

🔼 Complete Collection. The LSU gymnastics team picked up their sixth win over a top-20 team this season. They defeated No. 19 Georgia at their place on Friday, 197.625-196.300. Haleigh Bryant etched her name in the record books as the first LSU gymnast to earn a perfect 10 on every event! She earned a perfect 10 on beam for the first time in her career. She also took home all-around, vault, beam, and floor titles.

🔼 Golden Boys. Two Tigers were named to the 2024 Golden Spikes Award Preseason Watch List — Luke Holman and Tommy White. The Golden Spikes Award goes to the best amateur baseball player in the country. Last year’s winner was our very own Dylan Crews. Tommy Tanks was also voted the No. 1 College Third Baseman by D1 Baseball.

🔼  ComebackSzn. The women’s basketball team may have been trailing at halftime, but you wouldn’t know it by the 85-66 final score. The Tigers took down Alabama in their Play4Kay game in the PMAC. Aneesah Morrow surpassed 2,000 points in her college career, finishing the game with nine. Angel Reese led the Tigers with 27 points and 19 rebounds for another double-double. Last-Tear Poa had 11 points, six rebounds, and four assists — one of which was an unforgettable behind-the-back dish to Flau’Jae Johnson. They’ll take a nice break until Monday, February 19 when they head to Texas A&M.
