📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Pure Purr-fection. LSU softball opened SEC play with a series sweep! The Tigers stay undefeated, 22-0, after taking three games at No. 21/23 Kentucky. They recorded 35 hits over the weekend, including 13 on Friday, 10 on Saturday, and 12 on Sunday. Sydney Berzon earned two wins in the circle, while Raelin Chaffin took the third. The Tigers will host No. 1/2 Texas tomorrow morning at 11 am.

🔼 Next, We Dance. An SEC Tournament run led the Tigers to the SEC Championship, where they eventually fell to No. 1 South Carolina. On the way to final, they defeated Auburn and Ole Miss. The championship game was the furthest they had been in the tournament since the Kim Mulkey era began. It was another competitive matchup with the Gamecocks, even though the Tigers had an injury bug. Aneesah Morrow led the team with 19 points and 10 boards for her 19th double-double of the season. Angel Reese earned her 23rd, with 15 points and 13 rebounds. They’ll wait for Selection Sunday next weekend to find out their fate for the NCAA Tournament.

🔼 Jump Around. LSU baseball took the series from Xavier this weekend! Luke Holman set the tone on Friday by not allowing a hit and throwing six scoreless innings with 10 strikeouts. The Tigers started the weekend with a 4-0 win. Gage Jump came out on Saturday and fired five shutout innings and 10 strikeouts. Ethan Frey and Hayden Travinski had three RBIs each in the 8-2 win. They closed out the weekend falling 2-1 on Sunday.

🔼 Our Tigers Win. The men’s basketball team finished the regular season with a win over Missouri! They rallied from a six-point halftime deficit and won, 84-80. They finish the regular season with a 9-9 SEC record, seven wins more than last season. They’ll be the eight-seed in the SEC Tournament, where they’ll play Mississippi State on Thursday.

🔼  Lyston Up. Sophomore Brianna Lyston is the undefeated NCAA 60m Champion! Her 7.03 time at the NCAA Indoor Championships makes her the second-fastest sprinter in collegiate history. Michaela Rose took silver in the 800m, earning her third NCAA medal since last indoor season. The women’s team finished in sixth-place.
