🔼 Us Vs. Us. Come out to the PMAC on Saturday to get a first look at the LSU volleyball team! The Purple and Gold scrimmage is at 3:00pm and the first 500 fans in attendance will get a free t-shirt. There will also be a post-match autograph session, admission is free so don’t miss out! The regular season starts August 25 when UCLA comes for the Tiger Classic.

🔼 Hit The Books. Six gymnasts were named to the 2023 Women’s Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) Scholastic All-American Team! Kiya Johnson, Alyona Shchennikova, Kamryn Ryan, Elena Arenas, Olivia Dunne, and Ashley Cowan all received the honors. Kamryn is now a four-time Academic All-American. Kiya and Olivia earned their third honor in a row and Alyona claimed her second.

🔼  Onto The Next. The Tigers had the second highest attendance in home opener history last night with 1,258 fans. The Tigers couldn’t capitalize on a good game, losing to South Florida 1-0. Mollie Swift had four saves on the night and four Tigers made shots on goals.

The Tigers will play again on Sunday at 4:00pm, hosting Southern Miss. Admission is free and it will be streaming on SEC Network+.

🔼 At The Amateur. LSU golfer Connor Gaunt has been advancing through match play at the 123rd U.S. Amateur in Cherry Hills Village, Colorado. He never trailed in the round of 64 on Wednesday. He started yesterday by winning the round of 32 over Austin Greaser of UNC. He finished his run at the Amateur with a 2 up loss to San Diego’s Andi Xu. Connor will head back to Baton Rouge to get ready for his last season as a graduate student.
