Play By Play. On the heels of a big victory over No. 21 Memphis, LSU Men's Tennis Head Coach Danny Bryan joins Chris Blair and Kent Lowe on the latest episode of Play by Play, presented by The Advocate. The Tigers checked in at No. 25 in the latest poll after last week’s win in Memphis.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Controlled The Classic. LSU baseball claimed the Astros College Classic Championship after going 3-0. They started things off with a 6-3 win over No. 14 Texas. Luke Holman set the tone of the weekend with 5.2 shutout innings and 12 strikeouts. On Saturday, Gage Jump allowed just one hit through five shutout innings in the 5-4 win over UL-Lafayette. The Tigers scored four runs in the bottom of the fifth, sparked by a Hayden Travinski two-RBI single and a double by Jared Jones. The Tigers finished the weekend with a 10-5 win over Texas State. They had 19 hits and Thatcher Hurd earned his first win this season.

🔼 Staying Purr-fect. LSU softball improved to a perfect 19-0 after hosting the Purple & Gold Challenge! They started the weekend with a win over Illinois and a run-rule win over San Diego State on Friday. Ciara Briggs hit her first homer of the season! She and Danieca Coffey had four hits and three runs scored through the day. On Saturday, Kelley Lynch proved the be a Swiss Army Knife after driving in the game-winning runs in game one, then throwing five strikeouts in six innings in game two! The Tigers took down San Diego State and McNeese. The weekend wrapped up with wins over McNeese and Louisiana Tech on Sunday.

🔼  Tigers From Three. The men’s basketball team got a 75-61 win at Vanderbilt over the weekend! They set a season record for most games with double-figure three-pointers in the win. They made eight three-pointers in the first half and two more in the second. Five Tigers scored double-digits, led by Jordan Wright with 15 points. They’ll hit the road to Arkansas for their final road game on Wednesday night.

🔼 Playing In The Sand. The seventh-ranked beach volleyball team went a perfect 5-0 at the Tiger Beach Challenge with wins over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Houston Christian, Nebraska, North Alabama, and Tulane. They’ll take next weekend off before the East Meets West tournament where they’ll face California, UCLA, ULM, and Hawaii.

🔼  Senior Sunday. The ninth-ranked women’s basketball team beat Kentucky, 77-56. Angel Reese and Hailey Van Lith were honored on Senior Day in front of 14,044 fans. Angel recorded her 20th double-double of the season with 22 points and 14 rebounds. Flau’Jae Johnson was right behind her with 21 points and added seven rebounds, four assists, and four steals. Aneesah Morrow and HVL scored 15 each, Nees added 10 boards for her 17th double-double.
