📈 STOCK UP
🔼 Razzle Braswell. LSU baseball is headed to the SEC Tournament Semifinal! The Tigers took down South Carolina 11-10 last night. The ninth inning was a huge one for LSU, who entered down 9-10. Alex Milazzo’s sac fly scored Paxton Kling and the teams were tied at 10 a piece. Michael Braswell III stepped up to the plate against his former team and hit an RBI single that proved to be the game-winning hit. The Tigers will have a break before playing the winner of South Carolina and Kentucky. They’ll return to the field tomorrow at noon on SEC Network.
🔼 California Girls. LSU softball is in California this weekend at the Stanford Super Regional. The Tigers hold the No. 9 seed, while Stanford boasts the No. 8 seed. The best-of-three series will begin tonight at 9 pm Baton Rouge time on ESPNU. The Tigers swept the Baton Rouge Regional last weekend and look to stay hot and clinch a spot in Oklahoma City.
🔼 Teeing For A Trophy. The men’s golf team is also in California for the weekend, and hopefully beyond. They’ll tee off at the NCAA Championships in Carlsbad, California today around 10 am CT. They’ll play three rounds of stroke play through Sunday. The top 15 teams will play the final round of stroke play on Monday. Then, the top eight teams will advance to match play. Connor Gaunt, Jay Mendell, Alex Price, Lance Yates, and Luke Haskew make up the LSU lineup.
🔼 Times Two. The women’s track & field team wrapped up day one of the NCAA East First Round with two Tigers punching their tickets to the NCAA Championships. Trinity Spooner qualified in the javelin and Morgan Smalls qualified in the long jump. Many Tigers will compete in the quarterfinals of their events tomorrow.
