Good morning! Happy Leap Day! Leap years are unique, much like LSU having two track & field members on the Bowerman Women’s Post-Conference Watch List for the third-straight list. Brianna Lyston and Michaela Rose make the Tigers the only team with multiple members!

In The Dirt. In episode eight of In The Dirt on the Hey Fightin' Podcast Network, hosts Alex Milazzo and Hayden Travinski are joined by freshmen infielders Austen Roellig and Steven "Monster" Milam. The west coast natives draft their be pregame or postgame snacks and meals, of course leading to a lively discussion about food and their mom's favorite dishes. The boys then reflect on opening weekend and the electricity of Alex Box Stadium throughout the weekend.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Midweek Mashin’. The LSU baseball team got their week in Houston started with a 16-4 win at Rice! Freshman Kade Anderson pitched for five innings without allowing an earned run. Brady Neal was the real deal at the plate, hitting two homers and bringing in five runs. Paxton Kling earned the Magic Moment of the game — he drove in four runs and scored twice. The Tigers will have a one day break before facing Texas at the Astros Foundation College Classic.

🔼 Nees & Reese. The double-double duo of Aneesah Morrow and Angel Reese received more national recognition this week! They were named to the USBWA National Player of the Year Watchlist. They have recorded double-doubles in the same game nine times so far this season. They both have over 2,000 career points and 1,000 career rebounds. They’re also both on watchlists for Naismith Player of the Year and Naismith Defensive Player of the Year.

🔼 All About Community. The SEC named Flau’Jae Johnson to the Community Service Team! She’s logged over 145 community service hours during this academic year. She has spent a lot of time with the Empower 225 Dream Center and Miracle League. She’s donated some of her NIL earnings to the Frank Callen Boys and Girls Club in her hometown and the Kay Yow Cancer Fund. Flau’Jae has been very efficient on the court this season, but her dedication to the community is a more impressive feat.

🔼 Two Peas In A Pod. LSU beach volleyball players Reilly Allred and Parker Bracken were named the CCSA Pair of the Week! The duo went 3-0 at the Third Coast College Classic last weekend, with wins over pairs from No. 13 Washington, Central Arkansas, and No. 6 TCU. The Sandy Tigs will host the Tiger Beach Challenge this weekend.
