Eye to Eye. Brian Kelly catches up with Emily Dixon as LSU football prepares for training camp. They discuss the virtues of The Path, the healthy competition in the quarterback room, and his optimism heading into the 2023 season.

🔼 The Right Guy. The Ray Guy Award preseason watch list honoring the nation’s best punter includes LSU’s Jay Bramblett. The fifth-year senior is one of the top punters going into this season. He came to LSU with Brian Kelly from Notre Dame in 2022. He’s had 67 punts downed inside the 20-yard line, and 18 of them were at LSU last season.

🔼 Dibert Days. There are 31 days until we kick off in Orlando, so let’s look at No. 31 on the roster — Nathan Dibert. What a freshman year Nathan had! He made the 2022 Freshman All-SEC team and was the Tigers kickoff specialist for most of the year. He had 60 kickoffs with 38 going for touchbacks, averaging 63.8 yards per kick. He made the 2023 Preseason Media Days All-SEC Team as a second team kickoff specialist.

🔼 Dress To Impress. Who doesn’t love new gear? Some call it “Christmas in August.” The soccer team got their gear this week, check it out! Soccer season is just 5 days away with a pair of exhibition matches before things really get going. The Tigers will take a trip to Colorado to play at Denver and at Air Force on August 8 and 12. They’ll return to Baton Rouge to host South Florida on August 17. The Tigers are looking towards another successful season, they ended last season in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

🔼 Go Time. LSU softball’s Taylor Pleasants and Team USA will be taking on the 2023 Japan All-Star Series starting tomorrow in Japan. The No. 1 ranked 16-player collegiate roster will play August 4-7 against No. 2 Japan in a three-game series in Iwakuni, Fukushima, and Yokohama.
