🔼 Set The Record Straight. The women’s basketball team dominated McNeese last night, setting records for points scored and margin of victory. The 133-44 win was a first for the Tigers, and so was the 89-point margin. The freshmen combined for 69 points and 17 rebounds. The Tigers held McNeese completely scoreless in the second quarter, going on a 47-0 run. Three Tigers earned double-doubles — Aalyah Del Rosario, Aneesah Morrow, and Angel Reese. Aalyah led the team with 27 points and Mikaylah Williams was right behind her with 26. They’ll be back at it on Sunday as they host Northwestern State.
🔼 Mr. Popular. Heisman winner Jayden Daniels has been making appearances on national television and podcasts after his big weekend in New York City.
🔼 Bounce Back. The men’s basketball team is hosting Alabama State tonight at 7pm in the PMAC. This game is the start of the “Be A Student For The Game” promo since LSU students are away for winter break. Fans can purchase $10 tickets in the PMAC student section on a first-come, first-serve basis. Tonight’s game will be a special salute for the Wayde Sims Foundation in honor of former LSU basketball player the late Wayde Sims, it would’ve been his 26th birthday. The foundation is giving away 88 basketballs to fans at the game, symbolizing the father/son Sims legacy at LSU — they both wore No. 44. Members of the foundation will hand out the basketballs near the Southwest concourse when doors open at 6pm and will be recognized during halftime.
