Tigers Win. Jake Amos, who guided East Tennessee State to four straight NCAA Championship appearances, was named LSU’s head men’s golf coach a week ago today. He joins Harrison Valentine and Kent Lowe on the latest edition of Tigers Win, giving LSU fans a glimpse into his coaching philosophies, championship aspirations, and much more.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Charging On. The women’s track & field team advanced seven individuals and both relay teams to the NCAA Finals! Trinity Spooner added two points for LSU by finished seventh overall in the javelin, her placement earned her First Team All-America status. Three Tigers qualified for the 100m final — Brianna Lyston, Tima Godbless, and Thelma Davies. Tima also advanced in the 200m. Ella Onojuvwevwo qualified in the 400m and Shani’a Bellamy in the 400mH. Michaela Rose moved on in the 800m. The men’s and women’s teams will compete again today and tomorrow.

🔼 Show Stopping. LSU baseball’s Griffin Herring was named a finalist for the Stopper of the Year Award! The award goes to the top relief pitcher in DI baseball. Griffin has posted a 6-1 record with a 1.79 ERA this season. He was a 2024 Second-Team All-SEC selection.

🔼  Raise The Barr. LSU swimming & diving has hired Brogan Barr as an assistant coach! She was the head coach of Siena’s swimming & diving program for four season. Her team achieved record-breaking accomplishments and she produced their first individual MAAC Champion since 2011.

🔼 Coming Along. New men’s golf coach Jake Amos is bringing along two transfers from East Tennessee State. Algot Kleen is a native of Sweden and is a two-time All-SoCon first team selection. Matty Dodd-Berry was the individual co-medalist at the Southern Conference Championship. He was also named to the All-SoCon team.
