Lagniappe. Winners wear white. Relive the moment LSU Gymnastics secured its first team NCAA National Championship title in style on April 20, 2024 in Fort Worth, TX. We’ll be celebrating the Tigers at the annual banquet tomorrow.

🔼  Simply The Best. For the third time in her career, Ingrid Lindblad was named SEC Player of the Year! She’s the only golfer to win the honor three times in the last 40+ years. She also landed on the All-SEC First Team. Latanna Stone earned All-SEC Second Team honors, she’s earned league honors four times throughout her LSU career. Additionally, Taylor Riley was named to the SEC Community Service Team.

🔼 Still Here. The USTFCCCA announced The Bowerman Women’s Mid-Outdoor Watch List and Brianna Lyston and Michaela Rose are still on it! This is the sixth list in-a-row LSU is the only team with multiple members on it. Brianna has been on the list for five-straight weeks as she ranks top five in three different events this outdoor season.

🔼 Dynamic Duo. Two Sandy Tigs were named AVCA Second Team All-Americans! Gabi Bailey and Ellie Shank kept the All-American tradition alive for the program. The duo started playing together halfway though the season and have gone 14-6 with five Top 20 wins. The team is headed to the NCAA Championship this weekend.

🔼 We’re Hosting. The men’s golf team will be hosting an NCAA Regional at University Club! The Tigers earned a No. 7 seed and will host Auburn, Virginia, Texas Tech, Oregon, Duke, Ohio State, Louisville, Houston, South Carolina, Lipscomb, Yale, Loyola Maryland, and Arkansas-Pine Bluff. They’ll play May 13-15 and the top five teams will advance to the NCAA Championship.

🔼 Meet The Tiger. Shayeann Day-Wilson is the one of Coach Mulkey’s recent additions to the women’s basketball roster. She’s a 5’6 guard who spent last season at Miami and the two before that at Duke. She was the 2022 ACC Freshman of the Year. She averaged 10.8 points per game and totaled 300 assists and 79 steals throughout her career. Shayeann is from Toronto, Ontario and was the top-rated Canadian guard in the 2021 class.
