šŸ”¼ Letā€™s Get It Started. Itā€™s time to get the party started in Tiger Park! The Baton Rouge Regional is finally here. The Tigers play in game two tonight at 5:00pm. Hereā€™s a quick rundown on everything you need to know:

  • Prairie View A&M. LSUā€™s first game is against four-seed Prairie View A&M (30-18). Theyā€™re back-to-back champions of the SWAC and are on a four-game run. The Panthers average .272 at the plate and hold a 4.51 ERA.

  • Louisiana-Lafeyette. This is a team the Tigers know pretty well since they split two games early in the season. The Raginā€™ Cajuns (46-13) secured the two-seed in this regional and won the Sun Belt Conference. Their first matchup is against Omaha and the winner will play the winner of LSU vs. PVAMU.

  • Omaha. The Omaha Mavericks (32-15) received the three-seed in this regional. They won the programā€™s first Summit League title this season after beating South Dakota State. The Mavericks hold a 2.51 ERA in the circle and a team average of .258 at the dish.

šŸ”¼ Thriller Thursday. Whew! Last night was thrilling. The Tigers went into extra innings at Georgia and got the 8-5 win after 12 innings. Josh Pearson hit his first bomb of the season to break the 5-5 tie. Jordan Thompson proceeded with a solo shot of his own.The Tigers hit six homers total last night, the most in a game this season. The series continues tonight and tomorrow in Athens.

šŸ”¼ Chipping For The Championship. The NCAA Championship for the womenā€™s golf team kicks off today in Scottsdale, Arizona. This is the third straight year the Tigers have made an appearance at the national championship. 30 teams will be taking part in the tournament and there will be a cut after the third round on Sunday. The top 15 teams will advance for a shot at the 8 spots in match play finals.

šŸ”¼ LSU At The PGA. Former Tigers are in the PGA Championships! Sam Burns and Ben Taylor started the PGA Championships yesterday and will continue through the weekend. Sam is ranked No. 11 in the FedEx Cup Standings with five career wins. Ben is ranked No. 50 and is having his best season yet.

Striving For Supers. LSU softball is looking to get through their regional and advance to the super regionals.
