Tigers Win. Relive LSU’s first game of the SEC Tournament with this episode of Instant Reaction! Cody Worsham and Harrison Valentine break down the 10-3 win over South Carolina. The win was number 400 for Coach Jay Johnson!
🔼 Still Standin’. The Tigers are still alive in the SEC Tournament after dropping one to Arkansas yesterday. LSU will face Texas A&M today at 3:00pm in Hoover. The Tigers won the regular season series against the Aggies back in March. The winner of this game will face Arkansas in the semifinal round tomorrow at noon.
🔼 Welcome Home. Last week, the Tigers signed Logan Diggs to the football roster. Logan is a Boutte, Louisiana native who spent his last two seasons at Notre Dame. The running back rushed for 822 yards and 4 touchdowns last year. He was the 13th best player in Louisiana in high school and helped Rummel to the 2019 state championship. Welcome home, Logan!
🔼 Ticket Punched. One Tiger punched her ticket to the NCAA Championship yesterday. Morgan Smalls took 7th in the long jump to secure her spot in Austin and she’ll compete again tomorrow in the high jump. Three Tigers qualified for the 100m hurdle quarterfinals with Alia Armstrong, Shani’a Bellamy, and Leah Phillips taking those spots. You can see all ten quarterfinalists here.
🔼 On Track. Three Tigers qualified for the men’s NCAA Championships on Wednesday. Tzuriel Pedigo started things off when he took gold in the javelin throw, he looks to take the title for the second time. John Meyer took second-place in the shot-put prelims to qualify. Brandon Hicklin punched his ticket to the championships with his long jump.
