🔼 Switch It Up. We have one last Saturday Night in Death Valley this weekend, so we’re switching things up. The football team will wear white helmets and pants with purple jerseys! The 15th-ranked Tigers play Georgia State at 7pm on ESPN2 or you can get your tickets here. This week’s free game program features Miles Frazier and Charles Turner, so be sure to pick one up at the game!
🔼 In-House Competition. The Purple-Gold World Series is this weekend! The baseball team will host a two-game intrasquad scrimmage at Alex Box Stadium on Friday at 4:30pm and Sunday at 11am. Alex Milazzo will captain the Purple team while Hayden Travinski captains the Gold team. This will be the last chance to see the team before they open the season on February 16.
🔼 Straight Down I-12. The women’s basketball team will hit I-12 tonight to play at Southeastern at 7pm. This is Coach Kim Mulkey’s return to her home of Tangipahoa Parish where she won four state championships at Hammon High School. She has not led a team to Southeastern since the 2002-03 season. The Lady Lions won the Southland conference last year and earned an NCAA Tournament bid. The game is expected to be sold out and will stream on ESPN+.
🔼 Four More. The volleyball squad will play their final four matches across eight days to wrap up the regular season. They’ll start tonight at 7pm as they host No. 8 Tennessee in the PMAC. After, they’ll head to Auburn for a Sunday match at 2pm. Both matches will be streamed on SEC Network+. Every match matters with the NCAA Tournament on the horizon and the Tigers can raise their ranking with wins over both teams.
🔼 Breakfast With The Tigers. The men’s basketball team will play North Texas at 10:30 this morning at the Shriners Children’s Charleston Classic. They dropped to Dayton by a three-pointer in the last five seconds. North Texas lost their opening game to St. Johns. Jalen Reed scored a career-high 16 points.
