Good morning. The Tigers had a winning weekend, so it’s bound to be a good week ahead! We have a lot to catch you up on, so let’s jump right in.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 King Of The Naber-hood. The Tigers opened up SEC play in dominant fashion with a 41-14 win over Mississippi State. The offense put up 530 total yards thanks to a 300-yard+ passing game by Jayden Daniels. He completed 88.2% of his passes, the highest by a QB with 20 or more attempts in LSU football history. Malik Nabers had himself a day with 13 receptions, 239 yards, and 2 touchdowns. The cowbells were silenced early when the Tigers held the Bulldog offense to just 79 yards in the first half. LSU moved up from No. 14 to No. 12 and No. 13 in the AP and Coaches Poll after the big win.

🔼 Won The Weekend. The volleyball team went 2-1 over the weekend at the SMU Invitational, sweeping Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and Texas Tech. Jurnee Robinson recorded a season-high .552 hitting percentage against the Red Raiders. They dropped their Sunday game against SMU to close out the non-conference season. They begin conference play on Friday at Kentucky.

🔼 Dynamic Duo. The women’s tennis team had a solid weekend at the River Oaks Invitational with Florentine Dekkers securing two singles victories. Kinaa Graham also secured two singles and two doubles wins with Florentine over the weekend. They’ll be back at it next week at the ITF Templeton 60k in California.

🔼 All Gold Everything. Both the men and women cross country teams took home gold at their LSU Invitational! The women’s team had a perfect score of 15 and swept first through sixth. Montana Monk led the way with a new PR and her first collegiate win. Jack Wallace and Tyler Stevens led the mens team after they went neck-and-neck, finishing 0.10s apart after a game of rock, paper, scissors.

🔼 On Top Of The World. Former Tiger Mondo Duplantis set a World Record yesterday - for the seventh time, may we add - with a 6.23m pole vault at the Diamond League Finals! The craziest part? He doesn’t remember the jump! Watch his interview on NBC after setting the World Record. Former Tiger Sha’Carri Richardson took 4th-place in the 100m. Natoya Goule-Toppin took home a bronze medal in the 800m and Vernon Norwood did the same in the men’s 400m. JuVaughn Harrison did his thing in the high jump, placing 3rd as well.
