In The Dirt. In the newest episode of In The Dirt, Alex Milazzo and Hayden Travinski are joined by pitchers Fidel Ulloa and Kade Anderson. Anderson is a Louisiana boy and freshman left-hander, while the right-handed Ulloa is a transfer from California. The pair draft their top baseball movies, with some shocking favorites left off the list entirely. We also learn what it takes to have a great mustache, like that of Hayden's or Fidel's.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Streak Continues. LSU baseball beat NIU 10-2 in their first game of the weekend yesterday. Nate Ackenhausen picked up the win, striking out six batters and giving up two hits through 3.2 innings. Josh Pearson hit not one, but two home runs and brought in three. Tommy White got his first homer of the season as well.

The Tigers will play Stony Brook today at 2 pm, Northern Illinois tomorrow at 1 pm, and close out the weekend with Stony Brook at 1 pm on Sunday.

🔼 Walk It Off. The Tigers won their first game of the Tiger Classic by a Taylor Pleasants walk-off homer! It was her third career walk-off home run, she’s pretty good at this. Boise State took the Tigers to the bottom of the 10th inning, tied at 2-2 before the walk-off. Sydney Berzon got her fourth win of the season with a career-high 13 strikeouts. The Tigers will play Boise State again tomorrow before taking on Houston. On Saturday, LSU will play Houston again and Austin Peay.

🔼 Preseason Predictions. Three beach volleyball Tigers were named to the CCSA Preseason All-Conference Team — Ellie Shank, Parker Bracken, and Gabi Bailey. The Sandy Tigs will kick off the season this weekend at the Third Coast College Classic in Houston. They’ll play No. 15 Washington, Houston Christian, Central Arkansas, and No. 4 TCU throughout the weekend.

🔼  Tommy’s Team. All-American baseball player Tommy White was named to the Lou Gehrig Community Impact Team! Tommy donates a big amount of his NIL earnings to Empower 225, an organization in Baton Rouge that empowers youth to escape the cycle of violence and poverty by providing them resources. He also participates in community service events, such as the Alzheimer’s Walk to Remember and Miracle League.
