🔼 Tiger Fight. LSU football captain and senior safety Greg Brooks has been diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer called medulloblastoma. He’s been recovering from surgery to remove a brain tumor and will face months of intense rehabilitation. As rehab begins, his family and team will come up with a treatment plan and will need your full support. To help cover expenses, the Tiger Athletic Foundation has launched the Greg Brooks Victory Fund. You can contribute here.

🔼 Media Darlings. SEC Women’s Basketball Media Day is coming up on October 19! Flau’Jae Johnson, Angel Reese, and Kim Mulkey will be representing the Purple & Gold in Birmingham. LSU is set to be live on SEC Network at 3:10pm. There will also be plenty of other stations and interviews that they’ll take part in.

🔼  Enemy Territory. The LSU soccer team has a match in enemy territory tonight, at No. 13 South Carolina. The Tigers have won the last three meetings with the Gamecocks, but they have not met with each other since 2021. Ida Hermannsdottir, Sage Glover, and Taylor Dobles each have four goals on the season to lead the Tigers. The game will kickoff tonight at 6pm on SEC Network+.

Meet Jalen Cook. Today, we’re reintroducing you to men’s basketball transfer Jalen Cook! Jalen was a member of the 2020-21 LSU team before transferring to Tulane. He was named First-Team All-AAC for the 2022 and 2023 seasons there. Last season, he led the team with 19.9 points per game and 4.9 assists per game. He broke the school’s single game assist record with 14 against Cincinnati. We’re happy to have Jalen back in Baton Rouge!
