Parade Of Champions. A celebration for the ages occurred in Baton Rouge on January 24th, 2004 following the respective national championship seasons for both LSU Tiger Football and Southern University Jaguar Football. Southern University achieved Southwestern Athletic Conference and Black College Football national championship status, while the LSU Tigers secured SEC and BCS national championships. Performances from both Jaguar and Tiger bands, and interviews from coaches and athletes from both teams are in this coverage courtesy of WBRZ.

🔼 Tiger Triple Threat. Three Tigers received NCBWA All-America honors! Tommy White, Luke Holman, and Griffin Herring were voted to the Second-Team. All three Tigers were also Second-Team All-SEC selections.

• Tommy White: team-high .330 batting average, 24 home runs, 12 doubles, 70 RBI, and 61 runs

• Luke Holman: 9-4 record, 2.75 ERA, 127 strikeouts, limited opponents to .174 batting average

• Griffin Herring: 6-1 record, 1.79 ERA, 67 strikeouts, five saves in SEC regular-season games

🔼 Playing Host. The women’s basketball team will host Stanford for the 2024 SEC/ACC Challenge on December 5. Last season during the SEC/ACC Challenge, LSU hosted Virginia Tech and Coach Mulkey earned her 700th career win. Stanford will be in their first season under head coach Kate Paye and their first season in the ACC.

🔼  LSU vs. FSU. The men’s basketball team will host Florida State in their edition of the SEC/ACC Challenge on December 3. The Tigers are happy to stay home, last year they traveled to Syracuse.

🔼 Earn Her Wings. Former Tiger Angel Reese has been so good in her WNBA rookie season! She won the race to become the first WNBA 2024 rookie to reach 100+ points and 100+ rebounds this season. On Wednesday, she recorded another double-double with a season-high 20 points and 10 boards. WNBA All-Star Voting is now open until June 29, click here to vote for Angel!
