📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Top Tiger. The honors continue to roll in for LSU women’s golfer Ingrid Lindblad. The WGCA has just named her National Player of the Year! She has completed 52 weeks as the World’s No. 1 Women’s Amateur Golfer. She will start competition in the U.S. Women’s Open tomorrow, alongside Tiger teammates Latanna Stone and Aine Donegan. Former Tiger Madelene Sagstrom will also be playing in the Open.

🔼 Dennis The Menace. LSU’s Dennis Shaver has been named SEC Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Coach of the Year! He led the Tigers to their first SEC-team title since 2012 just a few weeks ago. LSU enters the NCAA Outdoor Championships next week with a nation-leading 22 entries.

🔼  Hall Of Fame Game. The women’s basketball team will be playing Seton Hall in the 11th annual Basketball Hall of Fame Women’s Showcase! They’ll play on December 17 at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut. The arena is just one hour away from the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame, where Coach Kim Mulkey was inducted in 2020 and where new assistant coach Seimone Augustus will be inducted in October. Tickets will go on sale Friday, September 6.

🔼  Meet The Coach. There’s a new men’s golf coach on campus! Jake Amos has been named the leader of the Tigers. He led East Tennessee State to four-straight NCAA Championship appearances. He was a finalist for the NCAA DI Dave Williams Coach of the Year Award after leading ETSU to three victories and seven top-three finishes in 2024. His SEC coaching experience includes serving as associate head coach at South Carolina from 2016-18, when they had back-to-back NCAA Regional appearances.
