Geaux Free means free admission, so come out and support the Tigers! The first 300 students to arrive will receive a shirsey at halftime. If you can’t make it out, you can stream the game on SEC Network+.

🔼 Football Freaks. Defensive lineman Maason Smith and wide receiver Malik Nabers made the 2023 College Football Freaks List by Bruce Feldman. The list is composed of 101 players with physical abilities that wow people who watch gifted athletes daily. Malik is on the Biletnikoff Award preseason watch list for the most outstanding receiver in college football.

🔼 Best In Class. All-American women’s golfer Ingrid Lindblad was awarded the 2023 Mark H. McCormack Medal as the top golfer in the World Amateur Golf Ranking! She is now the first golfer from Sweden to win the medal. She’ll receive exemptions into the 2024 U.S. Women’s Open and the 2024 AIG Women’s Open.

🔼 Leave It To The Pros. Although voting for the AAU James E. Sullivan Award is closed for now, we still have plenty of Dylan Crews for you. He’s started his pro career hitting .326 with four home runs and 17 RBIs over nine games. Check out his feature in this week’s MiLB Player Spotlight from the MLB Network. Former pitcher Paul Gervase moved up to the New York Mets double-A team, the Binghamton Rumble. Speaking of LSU pitchers named Paul, Paul Skenes got his first single-A start and strikeout with the Bradenton Marauders this week.

🎥 MEET THE NEWCOMER

Meet Jordan Wright. Before basketball season comes around, you need to know the new faces! Leading off is Jordan Wright, a guard transfer from Vanderbilt. Jordan decided to come back home to Baton Rouge as a graduate student. He attended The Dunham School where he won two state titles. He then went to Vanderbilt where he was third on the team in scoring, second in rebounding, second in assists, and first in steals last season. He landed on the SEC Academic Honor Roll three times, earned CSC Academic All-District in 2022, and was the SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year. He came home to make his state proud.
